Tour Day 1 – Golden Circle

We take you to see the Golden Circle.  There you will visit on the most popular sites in Iceland such as the Þingvellir site that is listed on the Unesco world heritage list for it´s importance both geologically and historically.   You will then continue to the geothermal area of Geysir where you find the Strokkur hot spring that is sprouting hot water up in the air every 5-8 minutes or so.  Lastly you will see the massive two level waterfall Gullfoss in the Hvítá river that plunges into a deep gorge with a thundering power. 

Tour Day 2 – South Coast Wonders

Skogafoss waterfall, Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, Dyrholaey, Reynisfjara beach and Vik small town.

Tour Day 3 – Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon

Skaftafell national park, Svartifoss waterfall and Jokulsarlon lagoon with a boat trip on Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon.  The diamond beach is close by and also makes for a great photo opportunity. 

Tour Day 4 – Eastfjords

We make our way to the East Coast of Iceland. Drive through various Fjords and then end up in Neskaupstaður where you will go on a boat ride with the opportunity of fishing and sightseeing in excluded locations in the area.

Tour Day 5 –Dettifoss Waterfall

Lake Myvatn, Dimmuborgir (empty ava city), Dettifoss enormous waterfall in the Jökulsárgljúfur canyons and much more in this area that has endless choices of geological wonders.

Tour Day 6 – Siglufjordur and Myvatn

Godafoss waterfall of the gods and then Akureyri, capitol of the north.  Then heading to Siglufjörður village famous for it´s gorgeous setting and rich with history / called the adventure of the herring.  On the way optional activity is to do a whale watching tour from a small harbour on the way.  Also a very informative stop is to visit the Herring museum in Siglufjörður fjord.  

Tour Day 7 – Skagafjordur Area

Spend some time in walking around the Siglufjörður town in the morning to take in the beautiful settings of the village and then we make our way along the deserted Höfðaströnd road to Skagafjordur where we will stop at Glaumbær folk museum, Víðimýrarkirkja ancient viking church and then go to Hofsós swimming pool based on the saga of Grettir the strong.  

Tour Day 8 – Borgarfjordur Bay

Grábrók crater, Deildatunguhver the largest hot spring in Iceland, Hraunfossar and Reykholt a major historic site where Snorri Sturluson historian, poet and writer built his empire in the 14th century and wrote his master peaces Snorra Edda and the Konungasaga. 

Tour Day 9 – Snæfellsnes Peninsula

Snaefellsnes is sometimes called miniature Iceland.  It has Snaefellsjokull glacier, Arnarstapi fishing village, Djupalonssandur, Londrangar, Hellnar and Kirkjufell Mt.
