Fosshotel Eastfjords is a midsized three star hotel in the town of Faskruðsfjordur on the east coast of Iceland. It is a part of the Icelandic Fosshotel chain.

Eastfjords Area

The town of Faskrudsfjordur where The Fosshotel Eastfjords is located is named after the fjord it sits by. With a population of around 660 the town is known for its french heritage dating back to 1880 when it was the main hub for french fishing boats fishing the rich waters around the island. July 14th the French National day is a flag day in Faskrudsfjordur. One of the Fosshotel Eastfjords buildings is the old French Hospital and on the site is also a museum dedicated to this period.

Fosshotel Eastfjords is located is Faskrudsfjordur a small fishing town on the East Coast of Iceland. The Hotel is run in four renovated buildings dating from 1898 – 1907. In 2016 the buildings renovation received the European Heritage Awards from the EU commission.
