Landmannalaugar highlands

On this tour you visit Fjallabak Highlands were you find the Landmannalaugar area.  It attracts many guests because of the incredibly colourful rhyolite mountains.  Admiring the Ljótipollur crater lake, stopping at Frostastaðavatn picturesque lake and more is on the program along the way. This is a fantastic 4×4 tour to do during the summer time and into the fall.  This is also the perfect tour for photographers and the keen hiker since the sceneries along the way are ever changing and spectacular from one stop to another.

Practical points on Landmannalaugar

• There is no restaurant on site and to save some time it would be a great idea to bring picnic / or ILT can provide that at extra charge.
• Bring swim suites since there is a warm natural pool under a brink of the black lava stream Laugahraun – very basic facilities / no luxury.
